Gonio Yachts & Marina is an Eagle Hills project on 200 hectares of the Gonio coast, 20 minutes from Batumi airport and 10 minutes from the Turkish border. At its centre is a 180-berth marina with a yacht club, around which residences, townhouses and villas are being built.
The project includes two premium hotels run by international operators, a promenade lined with restaurants and shops, lagoons, and a 600-metre stretch of beach.
Eagle Hills was founded by Mohamed Alabbar, the founder of Emaar Properties and the developer behind Burj Khalifa; the company is simultaneously building the comparably scaled Tbilisi Waterfront in Georgia's capital.
The developer's plan includes a yacht club, residences, hotels, a waterfront promenade, retail spaces and lagoons.
